New boat at Aqua

After a long search for the perfect rescue boat and tour boat for the activities team at Aqua, a pair of German made aluminum tenders appeared for sale in the local area. 

Despite being lighter than the GRP vessel previously in operation here, these new boats provide considerably more room and are already exhibiting greatly reduced fuel costs, owing to being vastly lighter and more streamlined.

We were achieving 7 knots on a good day with the previous vessel, and only with the vessel cruising  light. The first boat to come off the production line here at Aqua was Sharky, painted by the lovely Eider! Photos of the production process are here to view.
